OMOP-Cat quickstart

OMOP-Cat is a catalogue of UCLH Epic data available in the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) format. It shows summary data only (quarterly counts, anonymised) and contains no confidential patient information.

What Can You Do?

  • View summary of available OMOP data
  • Search for concepts and bundles
  • Check frequency of records
  • Export selected concepts for use in OMOP_ES or DAP-R applications

Key Terms

  • OMOP: an international data standard
  • OMOP Concept: a kind of category that represents a clinical term or entity
  • OMOP Bundle: A group of related concepts (e.g., Haemoglobin tests)

OMOP-Cat has:

  • Sidebar: Date range slider, bundle selector, export button.
  • Tabs:
    • Concepts: Browse/search concepts and see their related data
    • Bundles: View selected bundles
    • Export: Review and download selected concepts
    • Help: Support info

How to Use OMOP-Cat

  1. Search for concepts using the search bar on the Concepts tab
  2. Filter by date using the Date Range Slider in the sidebar
  3. Select concepts or bundles and view data regarding your selections
  4. Add current selection to export to export your selected concepts/bundles
  5. On the Export tab, click ‘Export CSV’ to download a copy of your selections to use for OMOP_ES or in a DAP-R application

Tips

Deselecting rows does not remove them from export; you must refresh the page to clear all
